It was poignant to see that love can bridge belief chasms.

OOPS!

Composer Matthew Burgher wrote “The Mist”, the ethereal, meditative music used in the film during the Joseph Smith story. Due to an unfortunate mix-up with another piece of music of the same title, we mistakenly credited the wrong composer in the credits of the film.  We apologize to Matthew and thank him for his graciousness.

Matthew’s CD is available for sale at http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/haddorff.  Read more about his compositions at http://www.soundlegacyproductions.com.

SUPPORT THE TEMPLE WEDDING PETITION!

http://www.templeweddingpetition.org

When an LDS couple is married in an LDS temple, Mormon and non-Mormon relatives and friends who, for a variety of reasons do not possess the required ‘temple recommend’, are excluded from the ceremony. Also excluded are younger siblings, nephews and nieces, or possibly children of the bride or groom; in fact anyone who has not previously received their own endowment. Nobody under the age of eighteen is eligible for the endowment ceremony.

This unnecessary and divisive policy is harsh for the couple and their loved ones who do not fit the ‘acceptable standards’ required for entrance into the temple wedding. There are suitable alternatives to this exclusionary policy.

To accomplish that they searched hundreds of blogs and web sites to acquire a better understanding of the Ex-Mormon world. Below is but a sampling of links that provided the context so important in weaving the documentary background for In the Shadow of the Temple.
